Reflections on 10 Years of Meridian Financial Partners

Next week, Meridian celebrates our tenth anniversary—and how things have changed… 😊

We’ve seen our children get taller, our team expand with talent, and Meridian flourish, now managing over a half-billion dollars for 575 families and organizations, across 26 states:

Looking back to the very start of Meridian is very humbling. Pulling out our original business plan, we simply wanted to serve households who needed our help…and we had very small goals of serving about 100 families in our early years:

In this very early marketing video (which our team pulls up and watches occasionally for giggles), Nathan and I outline what we do and why we do it…

(I did not have nearly as much gray hair back then… 😊)

That is what is striking watching this video from 2015: nothing has changed (besides our ditching of the business jackets!). We still wholeheartedly believe in our original mission. We started Meridian because we believe that being an independent, fee-only, fiduciary is the best way to serve clients (which we’ve written about in this blog many times over the years. Click the blue text above to learn more about each).

We still believe that smart financial strategies must be married with straight, plain talk so that you can truly understand your options and make good decisions about your money and your future. And our only goal is to provide clarity—because we believe firmly that clearly seeing the present, understanding what choices (and their impact) are in front of you, and then setting a course to take action on the things that matter most…that brings peace and calm to a financial world filled with chaos and confusion.

Meridian's goals

Over the past ten years, we’ve been blessed to serve clients who understand this value and who allow us to help them cut through the noise and translate the opaque and confusing terms in the financial world. We are grateful to come alongside our clients and help them sort through the hard decisions to give them more opportunity and freedom in their lives.

Thank you to all of you who have faithfully read our blogs this past decade…to those who have cheered us on…to those who have championed Meridian to those who need us. We appreciate all of you, and we cannot wait to serve our community for another decade!
