Our Team Approach
Here at Meridian, we often focus on our firm’s structure as a key reason why clients want to work with us: an independent, fee-only fiduciary. We feel that it is the best way to avoid any conflicts of interest and give unbiased guidance.
However, one other unique aspect of Meridian is our team approach. No matter who your main contact is at the firm, in our ensemble approach, every client gets a team of people with varied experience levels and backgrounds to bring your particular financial strategy to life. This collaborative structure allows for more comprehensive problem-solving, as each member contributes unique insights and specialized knowledge.
This gives clients two main benefits: continuity and reliability. When multiple professionals are familiar with a client’s goals and needs, there is less risk of disruption if one team member is unavailable. This shared responsibility builds trust and provides clients with consistent, high-quality service.
Moreover, teamwork often leads to more efficient communication and faster results. With clear internal collaboration, teams can streamline processes, avoid duplication of effort, and respond to client needs more proactively. This differs from many other larger institutions where a client has only one advisor. Should that advisor retire or move on, the client is often left with no other option but to seek out another firm.
In practice, our group holds regular weekly and monthly meetings that focus on investments, financial planning, and operations all in an effort to continuously improve our client experience and outcomes. Meridian gets ideas from multiple sources – investment analysts, consultants, fund managers and other industry experts. But being independent means that Meridian maintains control of the final decisions and action items.
It is not a stretch to say that we truly do enjoy working together. We are all familiar with working environments that make it difficult to come into the office every morning, but I think all of us enjoy what we do and with whom we work. At least most of the time!
